Arnica Donates £150 to Winston’s Wish

This year, we made a commitment to work closely with Winston’s Wish to support them in their fantastic efforts with bereaved children. As the first charity of its kind in the country, Winston’s Wish have been offering specialist support to children affected ny deaths at a young age.

One of the ways in which we support this outstanding work is by donating funds to the charity every time that a patient recommends a family or friend to Arnica Dental Care. As a local, family-run practice; we want to make sure that we’re supporting the types of organisations that are community-focused – just like Winston’s Wish.

This week, we presented Sophie Birch with a cheque for £150. As the Regional Fundraising and Events Officer for Winston’s Wish, Sophie came to collect the cheque from our practice. She comments;

“We are extremely grateful for the kind donation from Arnica Dental Care’s recommend a friend scheme. More than 100 children are bereaved of a parent every single day in the UK, and Winston’s Wish believes that with the right support at the right time, they can lead full and flourishing lives. The money raised from Arnica’s innovative fundraising activity will make a big difference, helping children who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling to face the future with hope and confidence. Thank you!”

Ellie Ledger, Principal Dentist at Arnica, comments;

“We’re proud to be supporting Winston’s Wish, a charity that does such important work all over the country. We treat parents and children every day, so we know how far a little help can go. The funds that we raise, with the help of our patients, will go directly to supporting families going through the toughest of times. As a family-run business, and one that treats whole family groups in the practice, we’re doing everything we can to enable Winston’s Wish to keep doing their fantastic work.”
