My approach to gentle dentistry

  • You’ll be greeted by one of our super-friendly receptionists on arrival who will look after you prior to your appointment
  • My lovely nurse will fetch you from reception at your appointment time. If we are running slightly late we will let you know and explain why
  • I will take the time to familiarise myself with your medical notes to fully understand your circumstances and specific needs before the start of your appointment
  • We will have a friendly chat at the start of the appointment to see how you’re feeling, whether you have any concerns and if you have any preferences during the appointment
  • I will be as gentle as possible during examinations and treatments
  • I will explain what I am doing and why throughout
  • I will be using the latest techniques during examinations and treatments
  • I will be using the best anaesthetics to minimise any discomfort
  • If you have any questions prior to your appointment you can use my contact form below

  3. Brush your teeth after every meal and before you go to bed
  4. Use a dentist-recommended fluoridated tooth paste
  5. Use a dentist-recommended tooth brush or electric tooth brush – Ifor example Oral B toothbrushes are very good and Phillips Sonic Care.
  6. Floss or use interdental brushes or pics once a day
  7. After flossing use a dentist-recommended mouthwash such as Colgate Flourigard
  8. Visit your dentist at least once a year or as many times as your treatment plan requires
  9. Visit your hygienist at least once a year or more depending upon your perio (gum) characteristics – avoiding infected, receding gums is essential
